a day of relaxation and tense moments.
RELAXATION
Today was Mr Yap's house warming day. So most of the 4e4s went to his house.^^ There were lots of things to eat, both during high-tea session and dinner.(Thank you Eunice and liling for helping me with the high-tea.Thank you brother JK for helping with the buffet dinner and accompanying me to wait for the bus!Subsequently thank you Jia Hui for going home with me!) Played some card games with some close friends, as well as with the whole class with a game which depended greatly on luck, I guess. Those unlucky ones who chose the "jinx" card, shall drink a cup of tap water. Whereas those who chose the better cards got to set a rule for every player to abide, to set a rhyming word for everyone to continue rhyming,or just a toilet break card. Nice game, as we had a great laugh. The atmosphere was just so high, just like the PSI in Singapore now. It's about 145 now, I presumed. Then after the games and food, we proceeded down to the ground floor to celebrate Mid-Autumm Festival, by playing the fire sparkers. That was the time when the trouble comes after an hour or so.
TENSE
The trouble came when two SCDF officers came. Without a sign or warning. The boys who set up the so-called "rocket" fled without warning us. It was when the officers appeared in front of our very eyes when we picked our legs and ran. Junkang and I even fled in front of the officers. The situation was really tense, leaving us rather confused and in shock. We did not know who to seek help from, where the others ran to, and how were the friends who were still at the playground. We actually discussed on whether to go back, since guilt overwhelmed us greatly. But returning would only cause more trouble, which most of them believed. Seeing that the officers had left, we went back to the playground. But who knew, two policemen came over to the playground! We became more perplexed than ever, since we did not know whether to join Amelia and the rest for the police's questioning. Since Gen and Amelia signalled us to go, we left.
After all the tension, we proceeded back again. But we could no longer face them since we had proved ourselves as ununited, who will only be there for one another during rich moments, but once trouble comes, it will be like playing "The Weakest Link", as the weakest perishes alone. I think the friendship with some of my friends would never be the same again. Since I let them "perish" alone. Damn it, I'm such a coward. Let my conscience torture me.
