Ah ha! Last night was the annual concert held by SP Japanese Daiko Drumming team, Kodai! It was a success and the effort put in by both seniors performers and helpers did make it a great show! The seniors had been practising for the past few months just for last night, and gone through alot of rehearsals, and even had to meet the strict demands of the stage manager, one of the alumni. Even juniors like me got an earful from him too. But it was all worth it in the end! =D

And next year shall be my turn, hopefully, to perform. Must train hard!

The tiring but fun part was after the concert when we had to clear the auditorium and bring the props, drum sticks, xiao gu, zhong gu and da gu back to the clubhouse. I carried the drum supports, and together with joyce, we carried the zhong gu which weighs more than 30kg until Zhicai and Frederic took over. Then I volunteered to carry another zhong gu again with Jack, as well as da gu with Joyce, Tomo and another guy. Back to the clubhouse, chit chat-ed abit with the freshies and seniors, then baded goodbye to the seniors as they were heading for HollandV for supper and we freshies declined to join them. Then I went home with 4 other freshies, and we were talking about Tomo being the junior Min Zhong. hahahah since both of them have the "evil facial expression". Just remember how Min Zhong pointed at me and shouted with that fierce look at one scene of the skit during rehearsals and concert. Almost die-ed on the ground. haha

hmm and discovered that the guy drummers are so looks-conscious. "Stage light dim, curtain close, performers go change." the stage master cued. And all guys stood infront of the mirrors backstage, spiking their hair. =.=
