Just visited Daiko blog, and found out that our dearest nagados are coming back real soon!! And our individual bachi sticks~ =D Can i use the bachi sticks to sit for my exam?! Shouldn't be sit... can i use the word play? LOL

Anyway, there's sure to be a tinge of stress in me since there are still so much for me to work on. Have been asking my sis to see if my arms are straight when I played on my invisible nagado =D Haiz and my sis said they're not straight. Working on it! And been training my wrists to make sure they're flexible. Not forgetting the rhythm and tempo of the songs. But a little stress always spurs me on (:

All the while, ever since I have a position in SPJDDT, I have been trying to find out the answer for this question, "Am I staying in SPJDDT for its people or because of daiko?"
Now the answer is "Both."

The people plus the cosy clubhouse, I don't know why, have such amazing power to let me feel really relaxed after a long day in school. It's like a leeway for me to run away from all the stress temporarily, recharge me, and then get me ready to face everything once again.

From Organisational Management's point of view, a company with supportive colleagues and managers will boost staff morale. The staff thus will have the energy to face any upcoming challenges because he/she knows that everyone will stand by one another, giving the desired support as and when needed.

So, to explain, fellow juniors(the colleagues) and seniors(the managers) are there to support one another. So me as the "staff" will dare to face the trainings no matter how draining they are or how lousy my skills are... Without those support, I guess I'd have long given up on training and quitted. haha... And, because all of us are working towards a common goal, so the more we should give moral support to one another!

Anyway, from Organisational Management (again), in a formation of a long-term team, there are 4 stages-
Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing.

Forming- when it's the "orientation period", where members get to know one another and "test the waters" to see what kind of behaviour and attitude can be accepted. (i think we'd long been through this stage)

Storming- When the members accept the existence of the team but tend to resist the control that the team imposes on them. And this is the stage when conflicts appear. When this stage is complete, there will be a relatively clear hierarchy of leadership within the team and agreement on the group's direction.

Norming- When close relationships develop, and the team becomes cohesive. There is now a strong sense of identity and camaraderie. The stage is complete when the team sructure solidifies and has assimilated a common set of expectations.

Performing- When team structure is in place and is accepted by team members. Everyone is working hand-in-hand to achieve the team's desired goals.

So... which stage is SPJDDT in? hmm...
By the way, this explains to me that conflicts are inevitable, because our team structure changes annually and new members join in. So it means that by the time when the stages are completed, it's time to re-start all over again...
