Down the road that never entwine

Shimmer, glittery, nice and warm
Yet she threw it to the mangrove swamp

Moonlit sky, romantic and cool
Sumptous dinner, get the drool
Yet his stomach was grumbling
finding the stone under bad lighting

She left the restaurant still well groomed
He approached her looking doomed
One sentence, "you're never good enough".
and he got rebuffed.
